My name is Lis Myrup and I created this website Myrupfamilien.dk in February 2014. It is maintained by me and my children Christian Myrup Albinus and Ditte Myrup Albinus. The English version of the website is still under construction.

The purpose of this website is that members of the Myrup family can learn more about the Myrup Family and its origin in the former village Myrup at Lild Strand in Northern Jutland.

At the same time, it is also a possibility for the members of the family to contribute with information and stories about the Myrup Family.

Myrupfamilien.dk describes three families; which all lived in the village Myrup in Lild Parish around 1750, and their descendants.  The three ancestors took or was given the name Myrup, as a result of where they lived or came from– the little village Myrup. Their descendants got the surname Myrup from them. The three families are most likely related to each other because the geographical area was small. But this is still to be revealed.

Myrupfamilien.dk also contains stories and articles of family members, the neighborhood of Lild Parish and about the little piece of Danish history this family is a part of.

Myrupfamilien.dk is going to have an English part, so family members from outside Denmark can read about the Myrup family.

I was born in1961 and after having lived in Copenhagen and Christianshavn I now live in Mørdrup, Espergærde in Northern Zealand with my family. I have been working with family history research since 1986, mainly with the Myrup family. The interest came from questions and stories from the American part of the family.  This developed to include other part of my family. This work is still ongoing. I can be found as   I-A6.B7.C1.D9.E1.F3  in the family branches.

My son Christian Myrup Albinus takes care of the  website. My daughter Ditte Myrup Albinus helps with the articles.
